4K Television

DIRECTV was the leader in 4K content across movies and sports but there was confusion among customers. They thought that if they had a 4K TV, they were getting a 4K broadcast. I launched a series of awareness campaigns letting customers know that they needed to upgrade in order to get 4K and highlighting the great content available. In addition to this awareness campaign, I worked with the product team to add a pop up to the linear feed letting customers know in real time that a 4K feed was also available.

DIRECTV was the first provider to have 4K access to Thursday night NFL games. Amazing news with one major hiccup - there were rights restrictions on using the league name and trademarks. So, what do you do? You partner with an iconic athlete, Peyton Manning, who is synonymous with the league and has an established history with DIRECTV.
